Children’s dentistry focuses on the oral health of infants, children and teenagers. It covers everything from early dental development to the prevention and treatment of decay, gum problems and orthodontic issues. At Bandlish & Auplish, we’re committed to making every child’s dental visit positive, calm and engaging.
Our goal is to build lifelong confidence in dental care through gentle treatment, clear communication and a welcoming atmosphere. We believe that prevention is better than cure—so we aim to detect and treat problems early, educate children on good habits, and support parents in maintaining their child’s oral health at home.
Introducing children to the dentist at a young age helps them develop trust and familiarity with dental visits. Early check-ups allow us to monitor growth, identify potential issues, and offer guidance on brushing, flossing and diet. This reduces the risk of cavities and encourages healthy habits that last into adulthood.
We also recommend visits to our experienced hygienist, Kirstie, who provides child-friendly cleans, personalised oral hygiene advice, and support on diet and sugar intake—all delivered in a fun and engaging way.
Every child’s visit is designed to be enjoyable and stress-free. Your child will be welcomed into our relaxed treatment space, where they can lie back and watch a TV on the ceiling during their check-up.
We will assess their teeth, gums and bite, and take digital X-rays if needed to check for underlying issues. If treatment is required—such as fluoride application, fissure sealants or fillings—we will explain everything clearly and proceed only with your consent.
Before they leave, every child receives a Bandlish & Auplish goodie bag, filled with fun dental activities and a small treat to make their visit extra special.
Our Harley Street practice combines expert care with a gentle, child-focused approach. We understand how important it is for children to feel safe and understood during dental visits. Our team takes the time to connect with each child, using age-appropriate language and positive reinforcement to help them feel at ease.
We work closely with parents to provide guidance and answer questions about oral development, nutrition and at-home care. Whether it’s your child’s first visit or part of a regular dental routine, we’re here to ensure they receive the best start to lifelong oral health.
